GDPR / RGPD Policy
Welcome to PI-Project. We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/RGPD). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you can exercise at any time.
1. Data Controller
PI-Project, registered in France, is the controller of your personal data. You can reach our data-protection contact at contact@pi-project.ai.
2. Data We Collect
- Account Data: email, hashed password, optional newsletter opt-in flag.
- Transaction & Invoicing Data: order amount, currency, masked card type. Payment is processed by Mollie; PI-Project never stores full card details.
- Operational Logs: IP address, user-agent and timestamps collected by our web server for security and anti-fraud purposes.
3. Why We Process Your Data (Legal Basis)
- Contractual necessity — to create your licence account and deliver the software you purchase.
- Legal obligation — to issue invoices and store accounting records under French tax law.
- Legitimate interest — to protect our service against fraud and abuse.
- Consent — to send the newsletter only if you actively tick the subscription box (you can withdraw at any time).
4. Data Retention
Invoice data is stored for ten (10) years as required by French commercial law. Account data remains until you delete your profile or is auto-purged after 24 months of inactivity. If you close your account, operational logs are anonymised, and newsletter consent is removed immediately.
5. Third-Party Processors
- Mollie B.V. — secure payment processing within the EU
- Hostinger International Ltd. — email delivery (transactional and newsletter) and server hosting
6. Your GDPR Rights
- Access & Portability – request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Rectification – correct or update inaccurate data.
- Erasure – ask to delete your account (except data we must keep for legal reasons).
- Restriction or Objection – limit or oppose certain processing operations.
- Withdraw Consent – unsubscribe from the newsletter in one click.
For information about strictly-necessary cookies used on this site, please read our Cookie Policy.
7. Contact & Updates
You can exercise any of these rights or ask questions by emailing contact@pi-project.ai. We may update this policy; the latest version will always be available on this page.
